Vietnam to Host the ASEAN Women’s MSIG Serenity Cup™ 2025 from 6 to 19 August

Singapore, 13 May 2025: The ASEAN Football Federation (AFF) has today announced Vietnam as hosts for the ASEAN Women’s MSIG Serenity Cup™ 2025, with Southeast Asia’s premier women’s championship scheduled to be played in major cities, Viet Tri and Hai Phong from 6-19 August.

The round-robin group games for the eight-team tournament will be played at Viet Tri Stadium and Lach Tray Stadium. Viet Tri Stadium, which was the venue for Vietnam’s home games during their successful ASEAN Championship 2024 campaign, will host both semi-finals, the third-place play-off and the final.

MSIG, is a leading general insurer in ASEAN based on total gross written premiums, with a presence in 48 countries. In Indonesia, MSIG operates through two entities: MSIG Indonesia for general insurance and MSIG Life for life insurance. This year, MSIG marks a historic milestone as the first-ever title partner of the ASEAN Women’s Football Championship, now named the ASEAN Women’s MSIG Serenity Cup™. The 13th edition of the tournament will feature women’s national teams from eight AFF member countries including defending champions the Philippines, record four-time winners Thailand and three-time winners Vietnam competing for the coveted title of ASEAN Women’s Champions.

The eight teams will be drawn into two groups in an Official Draw on 9 June. The top two sides in each group following the group stage round robin matches will progress to the semifinals with the winners of those games then meeting in the final.

ASEAN women’s national team performances have been rising steadily on the international level, with Thailand participating in the FIFA Women’s World Cup in 2015 and 2019, and the Philippines and Vietnam in 2023.
