DID YOU KNOW - LOSS PREVENTION EDITION (ILLUMINATION LEVEL)

Good and appropriate illumination can increase productivity, work efficiency, reduce work errors and accidents. Most industries, both factories, and warehouses combine natural and artificial illumination to create better illumination.

In accordance with the Decree of Minister of Health (Kep-MenKes) RI No. 70/2016 that illumination level has a threshold value (NAV):

Lower illumination levels can have negative impacts on worker health and safety, including:

  • Eye fatigue – Irritation of the eyes, decreased visual acuity, reduced contrast sensitivity
  • Nerve fatigue – Sluggish movements, impaired motor
  • Work fatigue – Stress, lack of enthusiasm, reduce concentration
  • Increase the risk of work accidents
