In support of Financial Inclusion Month 2026, MSIG Indonesia continues to promote greater public awareness of risk management and financial protection through various educational initiatives. Continuous financial education plays a key role in strengthening financial literacy and inclusion, helping individuals make informed decisions and better navigate their financial future.

The initiative is also in line with the findings of the 2026 National Financial Literacy and Inclusion Survey (SNLIK), which reported that Indonesia's financial literacy index reached 69.57%, while the financial inclusion index stood at 93.61%. These figures reflect positive progress in both the understanding and utilization of financial services among Indonesians.

As part of its contribution to sustaining this growth, MSIG Indonesia collaborated with The National Movement for Foster Parents (GNOTA) to organize an Insurance Socialization for Parents and Teachers program at SDN Grogol Selatan 13 on October 1, 2026. The event was attended by approximately 55 participants, consisting of parents and teachers, and focused on general insurance as well as risk management in everyday life.

Enhancing Understanding of Risk and Financial Protection

The program was designed to help participants better understand the importance of identifying and managing risks that may affect their family's financial well-being. During the educational session, participants were introduced to the fundamental concept of risk as an uncertainty that may result in economic loss, along with the key stages of risk management, including risk identification, analysis, evaluation, treatment, and monitoring.

Participants also gained insights into the definition of insurance, the benefits it provides, and the various types of insurance protection available. The session highlighted how insurance can offer peace of mind, help reduce the financial impact of unexpected events, and support more structured financial planning.

The educational session was delivered by Mr. Dhuha Al Khoiri from the Claim Team of MSIG Indonesia. Through a practical and easy-to-understand approach, participants were encouraged to recognize how risks can arise in various aspects of daily life and the importance of preparing appropriate protection as part of responsible financial management.

The collaboration between MSIG Indonesia and GNOTA reflects a shared commitment to expanding access to financial education for the community. By involving both parents and teachers, the program is expected to create a lasting impact, as the knowledge gained can be applied within families and passed on to younger generations through education.

Insurance literacy is an important component of financial literacy, helping individuals better understand how to manage and navigate risks in everyday life. Greater awareness of financial protection empowers people to make more informed decisions for themselves and their families.

Through this collaboration, MSIG Indonesia hopes that participants can apply the knowledge gained to better manage risks and build a stronger foundation for the future. Moving forward, the company will continue to support educational programs that align with efforts to enhance financial literacy and inclusion in Indonesia through collaborations with partners, communities, and educational institutions.
