Celebrating Financial Inclusion Month, MSIG Indonesia Shared Financial Literacy and Actuarial Career Tips with Students

In commemoration of Financial Inclusion Month, MSIG Indonesia partnered with Prasetiya Mulya University to hold a special public lecture titled “Financial Literacy and Actuarial Science in Business,” exclusively for the Business Mathematics class of 2025. The event was held on Wednesday, October 15, 2025.

Featuring two speakers from MSIG Indonesia, the event aimed to provide students with a deeper understanding of the actuarial profession, along with valuable insights and practical tips for those interested in pursuing a career in this field.

The session began with “Introduction to MSIG Indonesia,” presented by Ms. Indri Aprilliani Tohir, Head of Administration at MSIG Indonesia, who shared an overview of the company’s profile, mission, and vision.

This was followed by the main presentation, delivered by Mr. Bima Nitiditrisna, an actuary at MSIG Indonesia, on the topic “Tips to Prepare for an Actuarial Profession.” In his talk, Mr. Bima shared his personal experiences and practical strategies for becoming a professional actuary, including understanding the business side and preparing for certification exams. He also provided insights into the role of actuaries within the insurance industry.

This collaboration reflected the shared commitment between academia and industry to enhance financial literacy, especially among the younger generation who will play a crucial role in the future of the financial and insurance sectors.

MSIG Indonesia and Prasetiya Mulya University hoped that initiatives like this would continue to grow as part of a collective effort to build a relevant and impactful learning ecosystem.
