This award is presented to an insurance company recognized for its ability to combine creativity and inclusivity in product development, addressing the diverse needs of communities, particularly within the ASEAN region, while strengthening overall social resilience. MSIG Indonesia earned this recognition through a collaborative and innovative approach focused on sustainability, financial inclusion, and leveraging digital technology to expand access to insurance protection.

Out of nearly 116 entries received from across ASEAN countries, MSIG Indonesia’s initiative stood out to the panel of judges, comprising former bankers and regulators, due to its tangible impact and inclusive scale. “These awards serve as a platform to not only celebrate achievement but also to inspire the broader ecosystem to continue pushing boundaries,” said Cyrus Daruwala, Chairman of the ASEAN Fintech Forum, in an official press release.

In collaboration with Zensung, BP Castrol, and Standard Chartered Bank, MSIG Indonesia offers free Personal Accident Insurance to BP Castrol's motorcycle lubricants consumers. This program is a concrete effort to address one of Indonesia’s major challenges: the high rate of motorcycle accidents, which data shows involves approximately 40% of adolescents in Jakarta within the past year.

Many riders still lack adequate access to insurance protection. Therefore, this program is designed to reach uninsured people while encouraging society to build a stronger and more sustainable safety culture. Through this initiative, MSIG Indonesia and its strategic partners deliver real benefits in several ways:

  • Financial Protection: Providing financial coverage for riders in the event of an accident.
  • Raising Awareness: Educate people on the importance of insurance through QR codes on BP Castrol motorcycle lubricant packaging.
  • Promoting Safe Riding: The sense of protection is expected to encourage more responsible driving behavior.
  • Expanding Access: Reaching communities that insurance services have historically underserved.
  • Supporting Financial Inclusion: Offering first-time insurance coverage to delivery workers, including women, who are crucial in supporting their families economically.

This award serves as a reminder of the vital role the insurance industry plays in delivering solutions that are not only relevant but deeply meaningful in people’s daily lives. MSIG Indonesia believes that insurance transcends mere financial protection—it is a profound expression of care for the very essence of every life, every family, and every organization, ensuring that what matters most to them is safeguarded with unwavering devotion.

MSIG Indonesia hopes this achievement will open cross-sector partnerships and inspire ongoing innovation, benefiting communities across Indonesia and the broader ASEAN region.
