MS&AD Insurance Group Holdings Wins Asia Responsible Enterprise Awards 2026 through Indonesia Nature Positive Project

MS&AD Insurance Group Holdings, Inc. has earned regional recognition for its environmental leadership, winning the Asia Responsible Enterprise Awards (AREA) 2026 for its impactful work in ecosystem protection and community empowerment.

The award was presented during the AREA 2026 Gala Dinner held on 26 June 2026 at the InterContinental Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. AREA is an annual awards program organized by Enterprise Asia, a leading non-governmental organization dedicated to promoting entrepreneurship as a driver of sustainable economic and social development across Asia. The AREA awards honor companies across Asia that demonstrate excellence in responsible and sustainable business practices.

The recognition awarded to MS&AD Insurance Group Holdings was given for its Indonesia Nature Positive Project, an initiative designed to support environmental conservation while strengthening environmental awareness and community empowerment in Indonesia, especially in Paliyan, Yogyakarta. This initiative drives forest restoration while empowering local communities through environmental education and sustainable agricultural practices, enabling them to safeguard their natural resources while elevating their livelihoods. These activities collectively contribute to nature conservation efforts while enhancing community capacity to maintain environmental sustainability in the regions where the program is implemented.

In the AREA 2026 evaluation process, each initiative was assessed based on key parameters, including effectiveness & reach, relevance, and sustainability. The assessment considered the program’s overall impact, its relevance to environmental and community needs, and its ability to deliver long-term, sustainable benefits.
