Jakarta, May 2, 2023 - PT Bank Resona Perdania (the Bank) launched a Bancassurance Business Model Reference cooperation with three insurance companies, one of which is PT Asuransi MSIG Indonesia. The launch was attended by Mr. Ichiro Hiramatsu as President Director of PT Bank Resona Perdania, Mr. Shikato Takeuchi as President Director of PT Asuransi MSIG Indonesia, and two other insurance company representatives. The insurance contained in the Bancassurance cooperation is insurance for credit guarantees of debtors which includes fire insurance, property all risk / industrial all risk, and earthquake.

This Bancassurance cooperation aims to improve the quality of the Bank's credit risk management implementation and also the profitability of the fee-based income earned. On the other hand, debtors will benefit by obtaining security over the insured collateral as well as ease in the insurance process, both in the registration process and the claim process.

Bank Resona Perdania is the first joint venture bank in Indonesia that has been operating since February 1, 1958, between Indonesia and Japan to enhance economic cooperation, especially in the banking sector. "Perdania" stands for three words, namely "Trade", "Industry", and "Agriculture". Currently, the controlling shareholders are two Japanese banks, Resona Bank, Ltd. and The Bank of Yokohama, Ltd.

In February 1969, Bank Perdania officially operated as a foreign exchange bank. The Bank has undergone several name changes, in 1994, Bank Perdania changed to Daiwa Perdania Bank. In 1999, the Bank again changed its name to Daiwa Perdania Bank. Then, in 2003, it changed its name to Bank Resona Perdania.
