Did You Know? Ideal Duration for Warming Up The Vehicles

How long do you have to warm up the car? 5 minutes, 10 minutes, or 15 minutes?

For vehicles produced in the 90s and earlier that still use the carburetor system, it takes around 10 minutes to reach ideal engine temperature and to make sure that lubricant was contributing to whole engine compartment.

Unlike modern cars which already use an injection system and electronic system, it does not need up to 10 minutes, but only needs to warm up around 1 minute, because electronics intergrate all engine systems. If you take too long in the warming up process, it may affect more wasted fuel and increased pollution.

Otherwise, a bit of time warm up process may save your time, no more wasted fuel and help reduce pollution.
